要約(日本語): Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) is widely used as electrical insulator as well as arc-quenching medium in gas?insulated switchgear (GIS). For electrical insulation diagnosis of GIS, detection of partial discharge (PD) generated in SF6 is important. In this paper, the authors successfully detected the PD generated by DC in SF6 with a carbon nanotube (CNT) gas sensor on a real time basis. It was found that the CNT gas sensor response to PD showed a faster increasing trend under negative DC than under positive DC under the same experimental condition. This result was also discussed based on Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR) analysis of PD decomposition byproducts absorbed on the CNT surface.
