要約(日本語): Nowadays, generations from renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic (PV) generations and wind farm generations are expected to be introduced as a solution of environmental problems and energy security. However, such generations tend to be affected by the weather and their outputs often change drastically. If a large amount of such generations are connected to the power system, some problems such as frequency fluctuation, surplus power and voltage increase on the distribution line will occur in the future. Installing battery energy storage system (BESS) is one of solutions. But it is very expensive. If the capacity of BESS is not enough, its charging level (SOC) will hit the limit of the operating range. This paper proposes several methods for Load Frequency Control (LFC) by the BESS considering its SOC and numerical simulations show that these methods can reduce its capacity.
