要約(日本語): This paper proposes a design of an optimal transmission system configuration that satisfies operational constraints, N-1 reliability criterion, geographical characteristics at the minimal investment cost by using an innovative search algorithm, which relies on the geographical characteristics. A GLN-particle swarm optimization (GLN-PSO) is applied to deal with a complexity of the problem. The proposed algorithm is performed on a greenfield land with locations and sizes of generators and loads in a WSCC 9-bus system. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can determine the optimal transmission configurations successfully and consideration of geographical characteristics is indispensable.
