要約(日本語): Wavelet transforms (WT) has been widely utilized in various field of signal processing application. The capability of this method in analyzing stationary and non-stationary data in time-frequency scale has made it a suitable method in analyzing the power quality (PQ) signals. However, the presence of noise, riding on the PQ disturbance signals deteriorate the capability of WT in analyzing and detecting the PQ disturbances in the system. Therefore, in this paper the application of hard and soft threshold method combined with Slantlet transform (SLT) in de-noising the noise corrupted voltage variation event signals have been studied. Several threshold coefficient values obtained from several well-known threshold method i.e. Minimax, SURE (Heuristic and Rigorous) and Square-Root-Log are investigated in the presence of white Gaussian noise. The effect of wavelet decomposition levels is also investigated. The performance of the investigated threshold methods is analyzed based on the mean square error (MSE) and signal to noise ratio (SNR) before and after de-noising process on the PQ disturbance signals.
