要約(日本語): One third of people in Afghanistan has access to electricity, while there exist 45% power losses in Afghanistan’s power system. By reducing those energy losses, the existing capacity of the system would be increased without putting up further capacity. The main purpose of this research is to clarify the real causes of energy losses in Afghanistan’s distribution systems and find some solutions for preventing them. Power losses has been calculated in Breshna Kot substation using EMTP program. The real causes of those energy losses has been detected and necessary considerations has been assumed to diminish power losses in Breshna Kot substation.
