要約(日本語): The direct use of temperature limits rather than current or power limits results in less conservative constraints on line loadability. This could be especially useful in accommodating larger fluctuations in conductor currents due to increased generation by variable renewable energy sources. This paper presents a simple model for estimating conductor temperature. The model describes conductor temperature in steady-state as a quadratic function of the square of current with the constants dependent on the ambient weather conditions. The resulting model is much simpler than existing models (CIGRE Standard) and can be easily integrated into system operation software.
