要約(日本語): Polymer material have been used in an air circuit breaker. As well known, usage of polymer materials inside the chamber is the methods for improving performance of an air circuit breaker. Due to a fault occurs, the high current is interruption inside the quenching chamber in an air circuit breaker, arc discharge touches the insulator and ablation gasses are generated and emitted. The ablation gasses rise the pressure in the extinguishing chamber have some effect on the arc characteristic. In order to improve the breaking performance of air circuit breakers, we conducted the experiments with high current interruption. With these experiments, the comparison among four kinds of polymer materials will discussed.
