要約(日本語): The mechanism on the cellulose protection of palm fatty acid ester (PFAE), a new biodegradable dielectric fluid for transformers, was investigated through the determination of gas generations in nitrogen filled vessel after thermally aging tests, compared with mineral oil (MO). The aged component ratios are proportional to an actual transformer . Gas generations including H2, CH4, C2H4, C2H6, CO2, and CO both in oil and gas space were determined for both fluids. Similar pattern of gas generations for both fluid filled tanks was verified. That is, the concentrations of carbon oxides are much higher, while those of hydrogen and methane are much lower. The concentrations of carbon oxides from MO impregnated insulation material aging at 151 ?C~168.5 ?C in nitrogen sealed tanks were 3.7~4.7 times those for PFAE impregnated material, in agreement with the much greater decreasing trend of the degree of polymerization of cellulosic components in MO. The cellulose protection of PFAE originated from the translocation of polar substances including water and acids, which degraded from all cellulosic components. The presence of water releasing components as an actual transformer, expand the lifetime differences between MO and PFAE impregnated thermally upgraded paper several times compared with the previous study.
