要約(日本語): When a lightning impulse generator (I.G.) is connected to a large capacitive load like UHV apparatuses or a cable, a value for T1 becomes larger and I.G.’s efficiency deteriorates. Adding a series inductor to the circuit observes a steep wave front and an improved efficiency but with a heavy oscillation around the peak. The problem has been solved by mounting the so-called compensation circuit just in front of the load. 
Authors have reported unacceptable results of the front time, T1, evaluated by applying IEC 60061-1:2010 waveform analysis. The reason for this is the waveform cannot completely be approximated by the base curve: the sum of two exponential functions. This paper proposes a counter measure to evaluate waveform parameters for this phenomenon.
