要約(日本語): Because seawater is highly conductive, applications of electrical energy are limited in marine industries. Pulsed power technology, however, shows potential as it involves a rapid voltage rise and fall time and a short duration. Thus, it is possible to apply strong electric fields and higher energy densities with less joule heating on the targets, resulting in effective stress on harmful organisms in seawater. On the other hand, the ability to finely control pulsed power also unlocks potential for applications to activate or stimulate organisms.
