要約(日本語): Dielectric breakdowns occurred in cable joints of 220 kV XLPE cables, where partial discharges (PDs) had not been detected prior to the dielectric breakdowns. We improved a detection sensitivity of a HFCT at lower-frequency band, and successfully detected PDs from the cable joints in operation. After dismantling them, electrical trees were found in their insulation layers.
