要約(英語): LENTRA is one of the Lightning Location System (LLS) which is newly developed by CRIEPI for effective inspections and maintenances of electrical facilities. It was designed as less lightning location error, more useful in terms of the new functions for estimating charge transfer and current steepness, and more accuracy for peak current estimations, than the current LLS operated by each electric power company. From August 2021, lightning observation around Kanto region has started with 10 observation sites of LENTRA installed around Tokyo Skytree. Tokyo Skytree is also an observation site of lightning currents hitting Tokyo Skytree by Rogowski coil, and comparison of lightning current data observed by the Rogowski coil with LENTRA data is quite useful to validate LENTRA estimations of lightning striking points and lightning parameters employed in LENTRA. In this study, details of the developed system of LENTRA and the case studies of summer lightnings hitting Tokyo Skytree in 2021 are discussed.
