要約(英語): Photovoltaic generation systems (PV) and wind power generation systems (WP) have the characteristic that their output depends on the weather condition. As the introduction of these variable renewable energy sources expands, measures to deal with surplus power become more significant. However, it is not always possible to install enough battery energy storage systems (BESSs). Moreover, it is not necessarily economical to make full use of the surplus power. This paper presents calculation results of optimal size of BESSs in a networked microgrid under several numerical scenarios, assuming extensive PV or WP installations.
