要約(英語): CO2 emissions have been on the rise, with energy generation responsible for 42.5% of global CO2 emissions, posing significant challenges due to global warming and environmental changes. This study aims to address this issue by developing a comprehensive Unit Commitment (UC) method that optimizes the operation of thermal power plant generators while reducing CO2 emissions. A weighted sum method is employed to integrate cost minimization and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) impacts into a single objective function, facilitating balanced decision-making for power plant operations. The study utilizes integrated photovoltaic (PV) systems and inventory analyses based on the LCA database to support these decisions.
