要約(英語): Epoxy resin is widely used as the solid insulating material of molded transformers due to its excellent properties. However, in epoxy resin, voids may exist owing to imperfection of insulating materials. The electric field becomes high in such voids and a crack, and then partial discharges occur. Therefore, the PDs monitoring is one of useful techniques for evaluating degradation of molded transformers. In this study, we investigated PD behavior prior to breakdown in an epoxy electrode which had different sizes of double voids including insulation paper by using several sensors and investigated the growth of electrical treeing, a temporal variation of PD magnitude and frequency components of detected PD signals.
