要約(日本語)：Falling trees can cause power outages by damaging power distribution facilities. In some areas within our service territory, pine wilt disease has increased pine tree mortality, making tree-related outages a growing concern. This study uses wide-area satellite imagery and NDVI analysis to detect dead or dying trees and identify those likely to contact distribution facilities if they fall. The detection method achieved a precision of 78.4% and a recall of 75.1%, demonstrating the effectiveness of satellite imagery for dead or dying tree detection.
