要約(日本語): With the widespread use of the Internet, students are adept at researching information and finding answers quickly. However, they lack planning skills and tend to rush to come up with answers without thinking for themselves. To nurture talented engineers, the mechatronics class at Tokyo Institute of Technology, offers hands-on experience, where students are required to build a "line tracer." Through this class, a student(s) can obtain experience in thinking and coming up with answers on their own. Since there are various line tracers, an appropriate one must be selected, depending on the students' understanding level. In this session, the curriculum and contents of the class will be introduced to share information on “learning by doing”.
