要約(日本語): Brain plasticity is crucial for comprehending the brain. To study it, long-term recording of neuron cells is necessary. However, the limitation of current devices, in terms of biocompatibility and electrical properties, restrict the duration of recording to one year. In order to solve this problem, we need a material that is both good in biocompatibility and electrical properties. One of the promised materials is carbon nanotubes (CNTs). In this research, we cultured mouse myoblast cells on a CNTs-coated glass substrate and find CNTs have little effect on cell adhesion and provide a scaffold for cell adhesion. In addition, by applying CNTs to electrodes and quantifying their effect on electrical properties, we confirm the improvement of electrical characteristics by CNTs.
