要約(日本語): This paper explores the impact of mega-sport events utilized by bibliographic data. Empirically, mega-sport events hold substantial influence beyond the host country and related industries. However, such study focusing on qualitative findings is relatively new. Therefore, we extracted Scopus-based publications that investigated the effects of mega-sporting events from 1997 to 2023. An analysis found a continuous growth in publications about mega-sporting events over the last seven years. Therefore, further analysis was performed using bibliometric analysis and text mining, the findings that are provided in this paper. The results of this study can be applied to estimate widely influences and effects of highly recognized sporting competitions such as the Olympic Games and the World Cup.
