要約(日本語): Music has commonly been paired with physical activities such as sports training, dancing, and rehabilitation. Recent studies have shown that music has benefits beyond motivating individuals during exercise. Listening to music has been found to activate the motor cortex with and without any motor activity. Although recent studies have started to investigate the relationship between music and motor execution, little is still known about how music affects motor imagery. This study aims to investigate the effects of musical stimuli on motor imagery performance using electroencephalography (EEG) by utilizing rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS) paired with a therapeutic instrumental music performance (TIMP) based drumming task.
