要約(日本語): Motor imagery-based Brain-Computer Interface (MI-BCI) is a commonly studied paradigm that is useful for rehabilitation and other purposes. Designing an MI-BCI paradigm with electroencephalography (EEG) to be effective for most people is still challenging. Augmented reality (AR) devices have recently gained attention in BCI studies due to their immersive visual feedback that can induce a sense of embodiment. We combine MI-BCI with AR feedback and investigate its performance using left-right hand grasping MI tasks. An augmented display of virtual hands rendered over the actual hands will deliver immersive feedback for the MI task. The MI performance over multiple training sessions and differences in EEG response are evaluated by a comparative study between AR feedback and a control group.
