要約(日本語):Mental workload has been tracked through various methods. However, these indexes often have high individual variability. Previous studies rely on single biomarkers, such as Audio steady-state response (ASSR), overlooking time-scale dynamics of multiple signals. In this research, we developed a multimodal biosensor system to measure mental workload throughout increasingly difficult mental arithmetic tasks. In this study we successfully captured robust ASSR and Respiratory sinus arrhythmia signals that followed the increasing level of workload of the tasks. Signal quality of ASSR was improved by averaging the phase-locking index of the 38-42 Hz band. This system supports future applications in monitoring real-time stress or workload during cognitively demanding tasks such as work or driving.
