要約(日本語): 嗅覚を用いたマルチモーダル通信サービスの高品質化のための、筆者らのこれまでの取り組みを紹介する。嗅覚を用いたアプリケーション（嗅覚と力覚を用いた遠隔生け花と風船割り競争ゲームなど）を扱い、香りの出力タイミングの決定方法の検討や、利用者間の公平性の維持方法の検討などを行い、高品質化を実現してきている。

要約(英語): In this report, we explain what kinds of challenges we face with in multi-modal communications with olfaction. We also introduce our efforts until now to enhance Quality of Service (QoS) in the communications. Especially, we here deal with remote ikebana and balloon bursting game with olfactory and haptic senses as examples of the communications. Then, we describe how to enhance QoS by studying the determination method of smell output timing and the keeping method of fairness among players. Furthermore, we discuss our future directions.
