要約(英語): The traditional education system continually converts to the e-Learning process and it is a potential field in the current society. Although the number of e-Learners increase day by day and the three dimensional virtual environment provides a good platform to conduct the e-Learning process, the quality of the process need to be improved. The non-verbal communication which is necessary in a learning process is lack in the virtual e-Learning environment. Therefore the ultimate objective of this research is to introduce non-verbal communication especially eye blinking into the e-Learning and predict the student status which is very helpful to instructor to conduct the learning session effectively. As an initial step to achieve that target, the relationship between eye blinking and the student behavior need to be observed. Therefore an observation was conducted to identify the relationship between eye blinking and student behavior during the real world class. The observation was conducted during a video lecturer and the exercise. Student’s eye blinking, behavior and facial expressions were gathered through a video recording and analyses the video to identify the relationship between student activities and eye blinking during the learning process. Then the next step is to introduce the eye blinking to the e-Learning environment and predict the real student status. Then it will be helpful to instructor to understand the student situation which is creating more effective e-Learning session.
