要約(日本語): Nowadays, white cane and guide dog have been widely used as a mobility tool for visually impaired person. However, by only depending on these methods, the blind person will encounter great danger and cannot travel independently. Hence, the RFID technology which is integrated with shortest path planning algorithm in order to navigate the visually impaired person at indoor and outdoor environment is described. The shortest path planning algorithm is proposed by applying RFID networks in order to search the shortest path for guiding the visually impaired person. In order to provide an efficient and user-friendly navigation tools, the voice input including voice recognition system is included to set the desired destination easily. Besides, the digital compass also applied in order to implement the directional guide and relocates the visually impaired person back to the normal route if they are out of the direction. Data analysis is done during the experiment of the proposed blind navigation system and the performance of the developed blind navigation device is successfully confirmed.
