要約(日本語): In this paper, the development of multimodal warning device on the spectacle type based on obstacle detection system to detect the obstacle at upper level body for visually impaired person is described. Previously, the warning method to alert the visually impaired person is proposed by using beep sound, vibration and light to assist multi user such as low vision and fully blind person. The evaluation of effectiveness for the proposed multimodal warning device to warn the visually impaired person regarding the obstacle at upper body level is also conducted. As the result, the effectiveness of developed multimodal warning device in order to detect upper level body obstacle is evaluated successfully through the walking experiment.
