要約(日本語): It is commonly believed that current door mirrors cause problem of “forward carelessness” associated with the eye movement. However, technology to project information of side- view mirrors in the forward field of view is not yet. To solve the forward carelessness problem, here I study what happens when actually there is information of side-view mirrors in the forward field of view by using the Immersive Virtual Environment to create a “virtual side-view mirrors”. Here I found that eye movement by the virtual side-view mirrors becomes easy. In addition, it indicates that virtual side-view mirrors is beneficial than current side-view mirrors in term of safety. These results provide to the future development of the mirror-less car.
