要約(日本語): Recently, the number of diabetic patients is increasing. While it is considered that impairment of insulin secretion causes such type-2 diabetes, the mechanism of insulin secretion in pancreatic beta cells is still unclear. In our research, in order to have a deeper knowledge on the mechanism, simulation-based approach has been adopted. An improved simulation model of insulin granule dynamics is proposed based on bio-imaging data and medical background. Here, a keynote point is to represent the outer layer by introducing a module structure. Through some simulation experiments by using the proposed model, it is confirmed that the results are consistent with the medical knowledge currently obtained. This shows the validity and the potential of the proposed model.
