要約(日本語): In this presentation, the topology optimization of the rotor of a synchronous reluctance motor using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) will be discussed. The rotor shape is represented by means of linear combination of the normalized Gaussian functions. The weighting coefficients associated with the Gaussian functions are determined so that the fitness becomes maximum under the given constraint. The convergence speed, resultant optimal solution obtained by PSO is compared with those of the genetic algorithm.
