要約(日本語): This paper presents an improvement of the system for measuring VDT working hours using a webcam. We developed a prototype of the system which measures the time by discriminating the existence of the monitored worker once in a minute and there was a problem that the system could not always discriminate the existence correctly in the case when the monitored worker wears a mask or glasses. In the improved method, the problem could be solved by extracting areas of the glasses and the mask from the image in YCbCr color space. Experimental results by 10 participants who include workers wearing glasses or a mask showed that the discrimination ratios of the existence becomes higher by the improved method than before.
