要約(日本語): VR technology creates a virtual world that is entirely isolated with the reality. Subjects can be more immerged to the virtual environment than ever before. By presenting visual stimulus in VR, subjects will have better engagement with applications such as games, BCI, etc. Through the comparison of the result of SSVEP experiment using VR HMD and normal monitor, we are aiming to evaluate the effect of VR environment to human cognition quantitatively. In our experiment, we show spatially changing stimulus to subjects in a VR and real space. Our preliminary results indicate that with VR HMD, a more dramatic and clear change in SSVEP response can be obtained comparing with simply using a monitor. The result has shown the potential of applying SSVEP in VR for more accurate applications.
