要約(日本語): Light elicits various emotional responses in human and animal. In rodents, light-dark box is widely used for assessment of anxiety behavior. However, there has not any detailed study on a relation between lighting properties and such behavior so far. We designed special optical paths to control and to mix lighting properties of monochromatic light. Adult mouse was first dark adapted in a dark compartment. It was then allowed to go through the gate connecting to illuminated compartment. Latency from gate opening to mouse transition between dark and light compartment was measured to evaluate the level of anxiety. In this conference, we will introduce our lighting system and the result of mouse anxiety behavior assessment conducted in our designed experiment protocol.
