要約(日本語): Several methods of Live Migration (LM) for Virtual Machine (VM) Placement have been proposed. However, existing LM methods do not well consider, such as transfer time and RAM usage of each VM. This paper first proposes to adopt the total amount of RAM usage by VMs as a measure of server load. Then it proposes a method of LM to balance the load of each physical server, which is triggered by total RAM usage by VMs in a physical server and determined by considering the bit transfer time proportional to Round-Trip Delay Time (RTT). We assume that there are several server bases in Japan by using an “on-premise” system structure, and they are connected by the Internet VPN. Finally, we evaluate our method as a primary evaluation, and show that it makes the total processing time shorter.
