要約(日本語): Walking could give a critical damage to one’s health by the wrong use of body. Although many research have reported that as the number of steps in walking increased, the risk of life style related disease would decrease; very few have paid attention to the quality of walking motion. This paper describes an automated image analysis method that evaluates the gait of a person based on the expertise of chiropractic. Motion analysis for enhancing health of ordinary people is expected to provide how to correct or improve their motions in daily life for avoiding unhealthy consequences such as injury by those ill motions. The proposed method analyzes the periods of left and right feet being on or off the ground and compared them among people.
