As one kind of soft actuation materials, dielectric elastomer actuator (DEA) has been paid more attention because of its prominent characteristics such as high response, large stretch rate, lightweight etc. However, DEA has hysteresis that may affect the performance of the system. To describe the tube-type DEA, a rate-dependent hysteresis model is built based on Prandtl-Ishlinskii hysteresis model in this research.
