要約(英語): This paper describes an analysis of circuit structure using an algebra of graphs which represent the circuit topol- ogy. While SPICE-based circuit simulation software heavily depends on matrix representation of nodes and their interconnections because of modified nodal analysis, it is difficult to extract topology-specific information from that representation. This means that a SPICE netlist is little useful to understand or design a topology and the associ- ated analytical models of the elements. An algebraic representation of a circuit is one which can be obtained from a SPICE netlist and contain topology information and signal transfer characteristics. The usefulness is shown in terms of understanding the topology, element-value optimization, transforming a circuit into another._x000D_
