要約(日本語): Gas metal arc welding is used for the joining of various metal because this is the high quality joining technology. This welding is used for a welding of large buildings such as bridges and LNG tanks at outside. However, the welding defect caused by the heat transfer decrement sometimes occurs with increasing the wind velocity. This is because the convection loss increases and the arc deflects to leeward side. In order to prevent the arc deflection, the elucidation of driving force inside of arc using the numerical analysis is important. The temperature distribution becomes asymmetric when the arc deflects. Therefore, 3D rectangular coordinate system is necessary because of calculation of the asymmetric temperature distribution such as the arc deflection. In this paper, the 3D electromagnetic thermal fluid simulation for the elucidation of heat transfer to the anode affected by the lateral gas is developed. The heat transfer to the anode is calculated by using the EMTF (Electromagnetic Thermal Fluid) simulation with increasing the lateral gas flow velocity. As a result, the arc deflected to leeward side, and the heat transfer decreased because of the heat conduction decrement to the anode.
