要約(日本語): This paper presents the field uniformity characteristics in a rectangular reverberation chamber. A reverberation is an electromagnetic compatibility test facility and uses a stirrer to generate a uniform electric field inside it. In this paper, a Quadratic Residue Diffuser from acoustics is suggested to surmount some problems of a stirrer. To validate the effect of a diffuser, a diffuser and a rectangular reverberation chamber are designed for 1.03.0 GHz. The transmitting antenna for generating a uniform field is pointed at two directions. Afterwards, a simulation was done for the field uniformity inside the reverberation chamber with each case. The field uniformity of each case is simulated by XFDTD 6. 2 simulation program and compared to each other by a cumulative probability distribution which the IEC 61000-4-21 international standard recommends. Simulation results show that the field uniformity in the chamber satisfies ±6 dB tolerance and ±3 dB standard deviation, which are the international standard requirement. This means a diffuser can be substituted for a stirrer.
