In this paper, the three-dimensional electromagnetic thermal fluid simulation for analyzing detachment arc between the contact wire and the pantograph was developed. As a result, the velocity and temperature distributions were calculated and symmetrical velocities were found from the bottom to the top, and asymmetrical temperature distributions were formed.
