要約(英語): The electric power system is experiencing a great challenge related to the large integration of renewable energy sources. Since the management of the supply and demand balance becomes more important and complicated under the uncertainty of VRE output, a lot of technologies are needed to keep the system stable including the more flexible power demand due to the penetration of advanced appliances or energy storage systems into demand side. Nowadays, the balancing power markets have been utilized in many countries to procure the control reserve and operate balancing control in real time. In this paper, we evaluate the application of location marginal price to the balancing power market in order to avoid the congestion issues caused by the balancing control.
