要約(日本語): 情報通信ネットワークが社会の隅々まで進展し、その機能、性能が著しく向上すると共に、それを基にした新たなサービスやビジネスも生まれている。ネットワークの規模の拡大とサービスの向上は、今後も着実に進むことが予想され、これに伴うエネルギー消費の大幅な増大が懸念される。このような背景を基に、家庭等における情報通信システムおよび機器のエネルギー有効利用技術動向調査専門委員会が設置され、以下の調査項目を揚げて専門家からのヒヤリングや文献を通じて調査を進め、本技術報告をまとめた。(1)家庭等における情報通信ネットワークの高度化技術の調査、(2)家庭等における分散電源などを含めたエネルギー供給システムの調査、(3)家庭等における各種機器のネットワーク化および連携の調査、(4)家庭等における省エネルギー、エネルギー高効率化技術の調査 第1章では、携帯電話やインターネットの高速広帯域化の動向や、PLC、ｃ.Link、無線LANなどホームネットワークの高速広帯域化の現状と将来動向を述べた。第2章では、家庭等における太陽光発電や太陽熱利用などの創エネルギー技術や、新たな応用が期待されるエネルギーハーベスティング技術、さらにEVの実用化などで家庭への導入も期待されるリチウムイオン電池など蓄エネルギー技術の動向について述べた。第3章では、HEMSやそれを支える省電力パワー回路技術、低消費電力デバイス技術などの開発動向について述べた。第4章では、スマートグリッドやスマートハウスの現状と将来動向について述べ、最後に第5章で提言をまとめた。

要約(英語): The information network is widely spreading throughout society, and its functions and performance are improving remarkably. New services and businesses using this network are also emerging. It is expected that the expansion of the network scale and improvement of services will continue to progress steadily. We are therefore anxious about the large increase of energy consumption that will accompany network expansion. The “Investigating R&D Committee on Information Apparatus Energy System Trends in Homes and Offices” was set up to investigate (1) trends in home and office information network system technologies, (2) information apparatus energy system trends in the home or office, (3) HEMS and BEMS trends, (4) energy-saving technologies, energy creation technologies, and energy accumulation technologies trends in the home or office. The trends in the high-speed broadband technology for home networks, such as ADSL, FTTH, PLC and so on, are covered in Chapter 1. The trends in energy creation and energy accumulation are described by Chapter 2. Technology trend regarding energy harvesting is also described. Trends in HEMS and the low power consumption electric power supply circuits and devices are covered in Chapter 3. Trends in smart grid and smart house are shown in Chapter 4.
