要約(英語): A wind turbine generator is set in a nacelle at the top of a tower which is very high to get strong wind power. The grounding resistance of the system is needed to be less than 10 . A tower base of a wind tower is large, and low grounding resistance is expected by the tower base. Steady-state grounding resistance is a fundamental factor for lightning protection design. Grounding conductors are often used to reduce the grounding resistance. An effective length of a grounding conductor has been studied by many researchers. However, they do not discuss how to use the effective length. This paper discusses a grounding system design of wind turbine generator system considering effective length of a grounding conductor.
