要約(日本語): This report describes the numerical study about the cooling effect of polyamid-66 (PA66) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) polymer ablation on the hot air ejected from molded model circuit breakers. The hot air should be cooled down to decrease its electrical conductivity because it may cause short circuit fault through the hot gas. Three polymer rings were assumed to be located in the hot gas exhaust tube. By changing the position of polymer rings, we compered these cooling effects. The numerical model solves mass, momentum, energy conservation equation with consideration of polymer ablation phenomena.
