要約(日本語): Arc welding gained significant popularity over the past years and is still becoming the method preferred by most industrial companies nowadays. However, the deflection arc caused by the driven force from transverse rotating AC magnetic field remains a great challenge. The length of the deflection arc develops a wide contact surface due to continuous arc rotations. In this research, an improvement to minimize the deflection arc and the width of the contact surface is proposed by increasing the working frequency of the transverse rotating AC magnetic field. The behavior of the welding arc due to 100 Hz and 500 Hz working frequencies with magnetic flux density of 1 mT is simulated and analyzed. Based on the simulation results, increasing the working frequency minimizes arc deflections and stabilizes heat transfer which leads to better metals joints, decreased welding time and narrowed contact surface.
