要約(日本語): Tablet computers have been used to strengthen the brain cognitive ability. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of screen background colours on the brain functions of users when they are performing a task on a tablet computer. In order to observe activities of the brain areas associated with working memory, reading span tasks were used in the experiment. The subjects performed the tasks on five different background colours. The results suggest that white background colour, which showed higher activation of the frontal area of the brain in the previous study, induced the highest task performance.
