要約(日本語): This paper proposes a concept of service field in service system for creating service value. The service value, which gives users’ satisfaction for provided services, depends on the situation, users’ characteristics and users’ objects for services. Vargo proposed SDL (service dominant logic), where service value is determined according to “value in use”. This “value in use” corresponds to the relationship between the services itself and the situation where services are provided. This relationship is analogous to the field theory in physics such as the electro-magnetic field. Therefore, a concept of service field in service system for creating service value is proposed based on the analogy of the electro-magnetic field. By using this concept, “value in use” mechanism can be explained theoretically. An example of persona marketing is demonstrated for explaining the effectiveness of the proposed service field concept. This concept can be applied to designing effective service systems.
