要約(日本語): Pulse-width modulation (PWM) inverters output voltage and current usually have relatively large harmonic content because of the high frequency switching of the inverter semiconductors. Consequently, when measuring the iron losses of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) driven by a PWM inverter, it is crucial to ensure accurate current and voltage probing at high frequency. In this paper, the case of a PMSM driven by a three-phase PWM inverter using gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors is studied. The PMSM iron losses are measured using two different current probing techniques, namely Hall effect sensor and shunt resistance. As the experimental results show quite different results, a frequency analysis is performed to investigate the phenomenon.
