要約(日本語): 特定の対象への強い嗜好性は，依存症や恐怖症へつながる．こうした強い嗜好性を緩和するためには，対象への情動が働きにくい状態，すなわち睡眠中において嗜好性を操作する手法の確立が必要であると考えた．本研究では，睡眠中での特定の音に対する古典的条件付けが，音に対する嗜好性を変化させるかどうかを調べた．具体的には，ラットをモデル動物として，20 kHz の音を条件刺激，腹側被外野への電気刺激を報酬とする古典的条件付けを睡眠中に施した．その結果，睡眠中の古典的条件付けにより，条件刺激を好む傾向が増加した．

要約(英語): Too biased preferences for specific objects often result in addiction or phobia. In this study, to develop ananimal model to investigate treatments for such biased preferences, we first developed a behavioral assay toevaluate the preference of sounds in rodents. With the assay, we also examined whether a classical appetitiveconditioning during sleep can change the preference for particular sound. As results, we demonstrated thatassociation of specific sound and microstimulation to the ventral tegmental area during sleep increased acousticpreference of rats.
