要約(英語): Metal and general industry plants are controlled by various different control equipments, namely programmable logic controllers (PLC), process computers (P/C), control data gathering servers. Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) recently applies the nv-pack series, with both PLC and P/C capability enclosed within one package, to unify aforementioned control equipments into one package to simplify convoluted system configuration. Also, now it is possible to integrate monitoring and managing system as well, to unify the whole system even further. This paper describes those solutions with application to industrial plants.
