要約(日本語): 堺製造所の冷間圧延機は1984年の稼動開始より25年以上経過し、電気品の老朽化及び予備品枯渇により安定稼動への対応が困難な状況にあった。これらを解決するために制御システムの更新を2011年から2012年に行い。また、ドライブシステムの更新を2014年から2016年に完了した。本稿では、ドライブシステムの更新の概要及び特徴について報告を行う。

要約(英語): The cold rolling mill at the Nisshin Steel Sakai Works has been in operation for more than 25 years since the start of operation in 1984, and the aging of electric facilities and the lack of spare parts had become problems for stable operation.In order to solve these problems, we replaced the electrical control system from 2011 to 2012.Also, from 2014 to 2016, the electric drive system was renewed to AC drive system.In this paper, we report on the outline and features of drive system update.
